It really is a beautiful piece with plenty of detail, vibrant colors, and a gorgeous design! The holder (made of wood) stands approx. 15" tall with the base measuring approx. 9" x 6". The top of the stand that secures a paper towel roll is made of a high quality ceramic with a very fine gloss finish coating it. There is also a ceramic napkin holder in the front. It can be used to hold napkins or it can be left alone as a front tearing point for the paper towels. This ceramic piece measures approx. 6" x 4.5" x 3".
